Our Philosophy

We believe in person centered and positive creative service approaches to individual challenges. Our focus is on the whole person, his/her abilities, desires, and feelings.

All activities, meals, conversations, social events, and etc. should revolve around the needs and wants of the person served. We are dedicated to operating in a manner that is respectful, responsible, and resourceful.

Living with Purpose is a company dedicated to providing qualified and compassionate staff,  and other supports, to individuals with Developmental Disabilities.   

Our Story

Living with Purpose of Missouri, Inc. was established in 2015 and is a family owned private business based in Saint Charles, Missouri.  We are licensed and certified by the Missouri Department of Mental Health as a provider of community-based services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. We offer residential and personal assistant services to individuals and their families in the Greater St. Louis area.  

The Harrah family started Living with Purpose after many co-workers, individual’s families and guardians suggested they should start their own agency.  The Harrah’s have many years of combined experience working with individuals with disabilities.

Our Passion

We are driven by a desire to see others grow, achieve their goals and live life with purpose and fulfillment.

Meet the Team
Dale Harrah

Founder, President & CEO

Dale is an advocate for individuality, growth and a person’s full potential to accomplish their dreams. He began working as a Direct Care Professional in 2011 and has served many management roles within the field before starting Living With Purpose.  He believes that everyone should have the opportunity to live purpose filled lives and that people can overcome anything that keeps them from that goal… sometimes it might require a little help and encouragement.

Dale has a BA in Business and Marketing Management from Concordia University. He is an ordained minister with over thirty years of ministry experience and recently served as Distance Learning Director for the United Pentecostal Church International’s publishing house.

Dale lives in Saint Charles with his wife Julie and their Golden-Doodle named Wrigley.  He is a pannapictagraphists, collects Superman memorabilia and is a native of Chicago.  He has lived in the Saint Louis area since 1995, and has learned you can’t wear a Cubs hat within 100 miles of the Arch.

Jonathan Harrah

Co-founder, Vice President & COO

Jonathan Harrah is a licensed minister that has worked with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in home settings his entire career.

When not at work, he loves spending time with his wife, Ashley (who is expecting); children, Scarlet, and Knight; and dogs, Krypto, and Indiana Bones. Jonathan feels just as comfortable conducting a business meeting as he does working in construction, cleaning a bathroom, leading a church service, painting a canvas, dressing up at comic-con, or playing board games… although he isn’t a fan watching sports. He feels no job is above or below him and is willing to help in any way he can.

Starting as a Direct Support Professional while in college, he worked his way up through various agencies primarily focused on individuals with physical aggression and other high-risk behaviors.  He believes that if we look passed the problem behaviors we can see the real person and inspire that person to live a full life with purpose.

Letitia Stout

Program Director

Letitia D. Stout was born and raised in St. Louis, MO.  Letitia received her Bachelor of Science in Business administration with an emphasis in Management Organizational behavior and Marketing from the University of Missouri St. Louis. After graduating Letitia hired and trained individuals with developmental disabilities while working in Restaurant management for several years.  While working with individuals with disabilities Letitia realized that her passion was standing up for those individuals served who cannot always stand up for themselves. Letitia started off as a staff member in 2010 and has worked every position in some aspect for the past decade. Outside of working Letitia enjoys spending time with her family and decorating.

Letitia’s long-term goal is to get her MBA/MHA along with learning as much as possible about helping those with disabilities.  Letitia believes that although life brings uncertain times, in the end all things work for the good of those that love the Lord. 

Julie Harrah

Finance Manager 

Julie has been in administrative work for most of her career.  The most rewarding experiences have been her service in the United States Marine Corps and her current position at Living with Purpose. 

Her days are spent handling bills and budgets, so when she gets home, she tries to turn work off. She enjoys time with her husband and her new puppy, Wrigley, and reading books on her patio.  She has also served in ladies ministry and children’s ministry, and it is her passion to see lives changed for the better.  She believes everyone deserves a chance for a better life.

Donna Stokes

Program Manager

Donna started in the medical field in 1983 as a Nurse’s Aide and quickly went on to become a Certified Nurse’s Aide. She has worked with individuals with challenging behaviors from children to adults and is grateful to have watched many of them transition from 2 or 3 support staff to just needing one.  She was promoted to Program Manager and enjoys having over site of even more individuals and their staff. She has a Associate’s Degree in Human Services and a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Behavior Sciences. She is always looking forward to where the Lord will take her next.

Amy Garner

Program Manager

Amy Garner began her career path as a graphic artist for many years while raising her 3 children. She served in an international ministry for over 10 years and lead in the areas of hospitality, woman’s groups, and event/wedding planning. Her heart to serve lead to an unknowingly career path to direct care support at Living with Purpose of Missouri, Inc. in 2017. The opportunity of advancement to program manager has been both challenging and rewarding helping guide our individual’s achievements on their everyday journey of successful independence.

Karissa Reedy

Community Nurse

A Christian, RN with 18 years of experience, and mother of 5 (2 kids and 3 dogs). Karissa is hoping to make a difference, bring a smile to people’s faces, and stay out of trouble if possible.  She truly desires to improve the health and well-being of our population.

Ben Reese

Human Assets Manager

While attending school at Urshan College, Ben started a job in the marketing department at a local lawn care company. After 4 years in the management role, he left the lawn care business to pursue a career in Human Resources while working in the health care field.

Some personal things he enjoys include talking about the stock market, personal finance, and developing people. His personality type is the ESFP or nicknamed the “Entertainer” and its common for him to interrupt a busy day with a fun joke. He could talk about new ideas and solving problems all day long.

David Reid


David Reid is an ordained minister and licensed educator from Louisville, KY. In 2015, he moved to the Saint Louis area to serve as the Dean of Student Services at Urshan College, where he continues to serve as an adjunct history instructor. 

He currently holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Indiana Bible College, an M.A.T. in Secondary Education from Liberty University, and an M.A. in History from Adams State University, but hopes to one day earn a doctorate in history as well. 

In his spare time, he enjoys reading books on the life of Abraham Lincoln, watching Kentucky basketball, and buying his kids Lego sets so that he can play with them.

Kevin Carter

Quality Assurance Manager

Kevin Carter received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from UMSL and is 3 credits from finishing his Masters of Education. Starting as Direct Care Staff with Living with Purpose, he has worked his way through several positions within the agency. When working with Individuals, he believes in looking past the immediate negative behavior and trying to find out WHY it’s happening.

Ryan Barton

Scheduling Manager 

Ryan Barton is a native of St Louis with quite a diverse job history; from bounty hunter to an associate at a bookstore.  He is always ready for a new challenge and plans to make any event as fun as possible.

It would be difficult for you to find someone in a one-hundred-mile radius that he doesn’t know… or at least their brother.  His laid-back manner and quick wit makes his office (closet) the place to find a laugh when you might be stressed or need a break.

Linda Grohman

Administrative Assistant

Linda is a mother of two great children and a fur-baby, Jake.  She loves to travel, spend time with her family, and enjoys trying new foods.

She has been with Living with Purpose for 2 years. When you enter the office, she is tyhe first face you see and she is always smiling.  Visit her desk and you’ll likely leave with candy and new story from her adventures.

Timothy Harding

Communications Director

Tim joined the Living with Purpose team June, 2020. His job assignments consist of promoting LWP via social media and various websites.  He is heavily involved in marketing and is helping LWP establish an online learning presence.

Tim comes from a 20 year corporate background in Insurance where he managed multiple teams through a variety of projects.  One of his many passions is audio, video and multi-media technology; he’s served  in many church and conference events.  He is the Director of the sound and media department at Lighthouse Church, O’Fallon.

Jeremy Harrah

Executive Assitant

Jeremy is an integral part of the Living with Purpose team. He is always behind the scenes, so you might not even notice he’s there. He was born with an intellectual disability, but has never let that slow him down and uses his differences to help others. He knows the words you say can make someone’s day better and leave them with hope for a brighter tomorrow.  

He believes in his family’s mission of helping everyone find purpose. God is the most important person in his life and everyone and everything comes after.
