Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Training Functions:

  • Train the following courses:
    • First Aid and CPR
    • Orientation
    • Core Training: Abuse/Neglect, Report Writing, EMT, Event Incident Report, Med Error Incident Report, Addendum Incident Report
    • Report Writing
    • Emergency Preparedness
    • Individual Support Plan (ISP) Overview
    • Bloodborne Pathogens
    • Controlled Med Count
    • Consumer Funds Recorded
    • Keys exchange
    • Debriefing of Events
    • Person Centered Planning
    • Missouri Quality
    • Positive Behavior Supports
    • Confidentiality
    • Individual Support Plan
    • Behavior Support Plan
    • Maintain training calendar
    • Maintain needed materials and supplies for training
    • Complete and submit all course paperwork and records required 
    • Assists with establishing an in-house employee training system.
    • Assists Senior Management with the selection of external training programs and consultants.

Documentation

  • Training Records
    • Complete all service documentation, including but not limited to the following: training records as required by State and Federal rules/statutes, agency policy and procedure, and service operation manuals.
    • Submit training records to the appropriate office staff within 24 hours of classes.

Communication

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Participate as a team member within the local office.
  • Attend Admin and leadership meetings as required by the supervisor.
  • Maintain current training requirements and personnel records.
  • Communicates clearly.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Valid driver’s license, current automobile liability insurance

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must successfully complete all required LIVING WITH PURPOSE trainings and in-services
  • Must successfully complete and maintain First Aid/CPR and PCM trainer certification

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must be able to use other equipment such as a fax and copier.  Good organizational skills and the ability to perform numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced office environment. Good analytical skills, personal responsibility for work performance, and a professional attitude. Ability to work without constant supervision and adhere to policies and procedures.

  • TBD; based on previous experience.
